The Millstone is a traditional, family run
restaurant and bar located in the historic village of Tickhill in South
Yorkshire. Our emphasis is on presenting high quality, good value,
tasty home cooked food in a relaxed and comfortable environment. We
have a team of highly skilled and dedicated chefs and staff as well as
top quality suppliers keeping people coming back for more
We're famed for our fabulous, freshly prepared and cooked carvery, an
ever popular classic. We also offer a full
menu for those who
want something different, all of which can be enjoyed, 7 days a week, in
either the lounge bar, the restaurant, or the bright and airy
conservatory.
Adjacent lie the ruins of the 11th century Tickhill Castle and the charming Mill Dam, complete with ducks
and seating areas, providing the perfect ingredients for a relaxing after lunch
stroll. At the centre of
the village is the Buttercross monument erected around 1776 and the
impressive St. Mary's church dating back to the 15th century. Nearby
is
Roche Abbey founded in 1147, a Cistercian Abbey whose remains are well worth a visit.
Our large function room offers anyone who needs a party or meeting space
ample room and facilities. The room is licensed for up to 100 people,
has a private bar and has been the venue for some fantastic celebrations
as well as many business and other formal occasions. We can tailor the
